Arai GP-6RC Carbon Motorsport Helmet. This year it will be obligatory to use FIA 8860:2004 homologated helmets in
several international and national car racing disciplines. Arai have developed a
new car racing carbon fibre GP-6 RC helmet, which meets and exceeds the FIA
8860:2004 approval standard.
Carbon fibre shell (RC = Racing Carbon)
Hyper ridge shell
Wider opening (easier to take helmet on and off)
Shell mirrors shape of HANSŪ device
Visor opening system with lever for easier opening and secure
locking (as recommended by Indy Racing League and required by Snell SA2010).
PED kit for better aerodynamic properties (install separately).
2 air intake slots in chin area
3 larger ventilation scoops (diameter of ventilation holes increased from
7,8mm to 10mm)
2 larger ventilation slots at rear covered by Delta Duct (diameter
of ventilation holes increased from 7,8mm to 10mm)
3mm thick 2 dimensional visor with F1 aluminium visor system prepared for
the use of tear-offs (visor not interchangeable with GP-5)
Improved pivot kit for better aerodynamics and better visor
operation
Emergency release tap cheek pads
F.I.A. approved for use with HANSŪ system (with factory fitted
HANSŪ anchors).
Approved fire resistant lining
KevlarŪ chinstrap
FIA 8860 approved
