We stock both the "M" range and the traditional steering wheels. Please see below for the application lists.

If you are building a car which needs to be SVA'd then you will need to find out if you have a collapsible steering column or not. If you do not then it is my understanding that you would need a collapsible boss. The "M" range bosses are collapsible but the traditional ones are not.
If you have a traditional wheel then you will need a special pad which Mountney developed to go over the spokes.

WARNING: These bosses are not suitable for use on cars which have airbags.

Austin, MG, Leyland, Triumph, Riley, Wolseley, Hillman - Audi

Alfa Romeo - Ford America

We have quick release bosses available for both road and track. We have two types of race car bosses, the mountney one which is hexagonal and the Racetech one which is splined and can only fit on when it's in the correct position. Neither of these bosses are designed for road use simply because with the considerable amount of miles a road car does the teeth would become worn and the steering sloppy.
Both of these bosses are attached by soldering the boss to the column.
Thanks to Mountney for their help in compliling this web page
